Create a free account
Sign up with your email and a password. The full studio opens straight after.

Open a piece
Click Upload CAD or drag a file anywhere onto the studio. No file to hand? Sample ring loads a cushion halo ring.

Read, style, share
The Details panel on the left measures the piece; the Materials panel on the right styles it; Export 360 shares it.

Just looking? The live demo on the home page runs the real studio with upload, views and metals — no account needed.

Supported files

Culet Studio opens these formats. Files are read and measured in your browser — nothing is uploaded unless you export a live 3D embed.

Rhino / MatrixGold files saved without render meshes still open — the studio builds the surfaces itself.
Hidden layers, sprues, tie bars and engraving text are separated from the piece, so weights reflect what is cast.
Big files are processed on every CPU core: a 60 MB order takes about 25 seconds and the page stays responsive.

Inspection report

The Details panel measures the geometry itself — stones are found by their shape, not by layer names.

Ring	US / UK / ISO / India size, inner diameter and circumference, band width and thickness at 6 o'clock and the shoulders, comfort-fit, head height
Metal	Solid volume and weight for every alloy (14K–22K gold, platinum, palladium, silver)
Stones	Shape, length × width × depth, estimated carat, table and depth %, crown and pavilion angles for rounds; centre / halo / side / shank roles
Checks	Watertight solid, loose fragments, minimum thickness, culet clearance, stones through the bore, girdle gaps, size vs file name

Values marked est., inferred or approx. are calculated rather than measured. If a file stores no units, the studio works them out from the finger hole and tells you which unit it assumed.

You get a link and a ready-made <iframe> snippet. Every export appears in your account; an admin can take an embed offline at any time.

The snippet is responsive: it keeps a square shape and never grows wider than its container. Change width / height for a different default size.

Embed URL parameters

Show one live 3D export in any metal, stone colour or backdrop by adding parameters to its iframe URL — no re-export needed.

Parameter	Values	What it does
`metal`	yellow · white · rose · platinum · palladium · silver (or an exact id like rose-14k)	Metal colour. On its own, gold families default to 18K.
`karat` also purity	14k · 18k · 22k (platinum pt950, palladium pd950, silver 925)	Purity for the chosen metal. If that metal has no such grade, 18K (or its only grade) is used.
`stone` also stones, gem	Any stone colour (diamond, ruby, aqua, emerald…)	Colours every stone in the piece.
`centre` also center	Any stone colour	Centre stone only — overrides `stone`.
`halo`	Any stone colour	Halo stones only.
`side`	Any stone colour	Side / shoulder stones only.
`shank` also band, pave	Any stone colour	Pavé on the band only.
`bg` also background	grey · white · black	Backdrop behind the piece.
`shine`	crisp · brilliant · soft	How the diamonds sparkle.
`reflection`	soft · studio · sharp	How the metal reflects the studio light.
`position` also orientation	vertical · horizontal	Ring standing up or lying flat.
`view`	front · side · top · stone	Opens on a camera preset (stops the idle turn, like in the studio).
`rotate` also autorotate, spin	true · false (also 1/0, on/off, yes/no)	Turn the idle turntable on or off.

Live 3D embeds only — a 360° spin's frames are fixed, so it always shows its exported look.
Values match the studio's names: ids or labels, any case, spaces or dashes (rose-14k, rose, “Rose Gold”; aqua, aquamarine).
stone colours every group first; centre, halo, side and shank then override their own group.
Unknown parameters or misspelt values are ignored — the exported look is used, so a typo never breaks the embed.

Troubleshooting

My embed shows “not found”

Check the id in the URL. An embed also stops loading if it was taken offline from the admin panel.

URL parameters change nothing

The embed is a 360° spin — its frames are fixed. Export a Live 3D embed to change the look by URL.

The live embed is blank

Live 3D needs WebGL. Very old phones or browsers with hardware acceleration turned off can't run it — use a spin there.

My file won't open

Check it is one of the supported formats. Rhino files without render meshes are supported; zipped or password-protected files are not.

Export 360 asks me to upgrade

Exports are part of the Studio and Enterprise plans — contact us to change plan.
